I mostly use stippling and regular ‘paddle’ shaped brushes. Not tried the beauty blender yet. x

Hey Shiv! Do you have a favourite brush or tool for applying foundation on bridal parties? Have you tried the Beauty Blender?

  • Lucas Borio 4 years ago

    thanks! :)

Thanks so much for your tutorials Shiv! I’m a budding makeup artist and I’ve found your tutorials so helpful! I’m in Australia, and makeup (along with everything else) is so expensive here. My partner is Irish, and we are heading over at the end of the year, and I can not wait to hit the stores for a mega makeup haul! Thanks again!

Thank you Siobhan!! Studio Fix Fluid it is! Could you please recommend 5 or 6 of your most used shades, for our wonderful Irish (pale or fake tanned) skin??! x

It’s nice but I’m unsure as to how it photographs.

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

I’ll probably do another couple of bridal looks soon enough. x

It can reflect a small bit but I find this only happens with a crude camera flash (no diffuser) usually on i-phone camera etc and in very low lighting. A professional camera at a wedding wouldn’t be a problem. I do concern myself with the skin looking amazing first and then the flash issue. Skins look beautiful with the MSFs. x

    Wow, thats cool!

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

    Thanks. x

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

I honestly have no idea what could be causing that since it is hydrating!!! Just doesn’t suit your skins chemistry for some reason which is a bummer :(

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

I know people who use it and love it, I personally don’t love it. x

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

    Not yet!

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

    It’s in the description. x

The Studio Fix Fluid is really the most versatile, I’d pick it for sure! x

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

I’ve never had this happen to any clients! It’s the most popular MAC foundation in Ireland. It’s not something I know about other than hearing a few ppl here mentioning it!

The mufe hd powder is notorious for flashing back, it’s because of the silica, just what it does, that’s why I advised avoiding all of those white powders. I haven’t found that the Rimmel flashes back but it might be down to what you have under or over it, ie. particles in the powder. Or it might simply be that the flash in the camera that took your photo was very crude (not diffused), this happens with phone cameras etc

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

    Haven’t tried it. >_<

  • LetzMakeup 4 years ago

    Love her! x

It gets shiny on my nose after a few hours where I get oily so I’d use a primer and blot powder over the top, better that most at lasting though. x

how does the Rimmel Lasting finish wear on oily skin?

  • Helloclementine22 4 years ago

I think she actually has a bridal series if you haven’t seen them yet x

  • shamsa01 4 years ago

Hi, could you please let me know how do you select foundation shades for your kit from a particular brand lets say MAC studio fix fluid or could you please suggest few shades that i can keep in my kit to mix and match to cover most of warm the skin tone. Most of my clients are Asians. thanks

  • angeleuss 4 years ago

i tried the rimmel lasting finish and it reflects light like crazy although it was a slightly darker shade…the revlon colorstay (with spf) did not reflects as bad as rimmels and it was a tad bit lighter than my skintone…how come? i am so confused…also, the mufe hd foundation bounces off camera flash on me quite badly…can you tell me why? it can be frustrating sometimes… :-(

Studio fix causes me to break out and I hear it does others as well. For that reason I wouldn’t use it on my clients. Can you mention any mac foundation not prone to do this?

  • dcove81 4 years ago

Loved this video! Soo helpful :) I am building my bridal kit, constantly, and foundations/concealors are always top of my list! Tricky question for you…. I have and love Mac Face and Body and also their Full Coverage foundation. Which foundation should I add for something in between?? I like the sound of the Illamasqua Skin Base and have thought about MACs Studio Fix Fluid, Studio Sculpt (which I love for myself) and Matchmaster. But I would love your opinion! Thanks xx

i didnt really used to wear foundation since i had sensitive skin but i do now for quite a few months. i wear estee lauder double wear (light) with an spf of 10. it looks really good on my skin, a tiny bit darker than my skin tone but it adds a bit more colour to my face since im really pale lol. have you tried this one before?

  • lapedrazza 4 years ago
