Great vid! You didn’t mention what we need to put before using the powder
foundation. Do we need to put primer? Can we put sunscreen too before it?
    thank you xx

BareMinerals is the ONLY foundation that doesn’t break out my easily
clogged, hormonal acne-riddled, extremely (neutral-cool) fair skin. I use
the very lightest shade with a very light hand. It used to look too powdery
until I figured out a good technique, found a better brush, and I learned
to make sure my moisturizer completely sinks in before I apply. I just
recently discovered their illuminating mineral veil, and it makes my skin
look more naturally dewy than the regular stuff. I’m also a fan of their
loose shadows and blushes. It’s a great cosmetics line!

In all honesty, does mineral foundation really last? The last time I used
it was a few years ago and I guess I didn’t know how to use it then; I
ended up using it as a loose powder to set my cream/liquid makeup
    underneath. Opinions?

I’ve always wanted to try Bareminerals, but I get really dry skin on my
cheekbones and around my nose area. So, I’m a little eh if it’ll work.

would u recommend putting creamy concealer under the eye before or after
    the mineral foundation?

  • SassiAn6el 3 years ago

Do you still use Everyday Minerals? I think that was the mineral foundation
you used in your last mineral foundation tutorial.

I love Bareminerals! I got into it because Wayne Goss always raved about it
and I was already using mineral powder but I wanted a better one. I love
how Bareminerals has such a wide colour selection :) I actually ran out and
unfortunately can get a hold of any at thr moment ~ booo

I personally like to usr a bit of jojoba oil before applying the powder :)

I’ve never used mineral makeup, but I’m kind of afraid to try it because I
don’t know how well it would work with my oily skin. I do have pretty acne
prone skin as well though so I hope I can give it a try soon because I
would love to have a foundation that I know for sure won’t break me out!

I swear the bare minerals matte foundation breaks me out :( does anyone
    have similar experiences?

Do they sell bare minerals in sephora?

Can you put a creamy/liquid concealer on top of this power foundation? Or
should I do the concealing first?

Hey Jen… I know your a big fan of the tarte Amazonian finishing powder. I
have you used that instead of the mineral veil? And how was the results?

  • vintagebows 3 years ago

just for my sensitive/ acne prone skin girls out there, bare minerals isn’t
the best for you! My dermatologists said that it can clog your pores and
    cause irritation

Jen, I think you’re using the Real Techniques Expert Face brush instead of
the Powder brush! People might be misled :)

When I first started wearing makeup I used bare minerals for about 6
months. I loved the way my skin looked but as I used it more my skin
started to react to the powder. My face was just very itchy. I clean my
brushes once a week and always washed my hands before applying makeup
nothing seemed to work. MAC, makeupforever, and Bobbi brown foundations are
my favorite. But I really wish I could go back to mineral makeup. It was
just less fuss to me when it came to application.

feel about voluminous lashes so I hope you check out this small business

Isn’t that Real Techniques expert face brush? It looks too small to be RT
    powder brush.

Frankly I don’t think mineral makeup is suitable for everyone. It looks
great on you because you naturally already have a beautiful skin and look
    great even without foundation.

Such a helpful video. Thanks love

I tried bm years ago and it’s the only foundation that’s ever made me break
out. I’ve been weary of mineral makeup ever since despite that it’s
supposed to be great for sensitive skin. :(

You need to try Meow Cosmetics Mineral Foundation. Not to sound overly
dramatic but the mineral foundations are life changing for me. I’ve been
struggling with acne for 17 years, been on Accutane which failed, but this
mineral foundation is so light, gentle, and feels like you have nothing on.
I was wondering if you can please check it out do a review on it.

I have some Bare Minerals makeup and can never get it looking how I want
but after your video I’m going to give it another go. Thanks Jen

It would be lovely if you zoom into your face a little bit more so we can
see how it cover your blemishes, on camera it’s hardly able to see anything

  • linlovesbeauty 3 years ago

Have you tried some of the bareminerals concealer for example well rested
or summer bisque? Some youtubers really swear by those.

And do you think that the mineral veil is one of the best finishing powder?
Or are there others you prefer for that soft airbrushed look.

    Thank youuu!

I love my bareMinerals Original Foundation It makes me feel so good.

This product doesn’t work one everyone. Like seriously, it accentuates my
dry patches and yes I do moisturise very often and before makeup. I have
combination skin and it does not work well making me look quite cakey.

I really like the median beige on you!! It looks natural! I tried the same
color but it looks SUPER dark on me. I also have acne prone skin, so I
tried the new product of baremineral blemish foundation from sephora. That
works well on me! But still, I can’t find the right color.
