Does the Bare Minerals hold up in humid weather? Living in Hawaii is
sometimes a challenge with face makeup because the humidity sometimes makes
regular liquid foundation just melt off from all the sweat and oils. Then,
I use more powder to combat all of that, but I end up looking cakey or too
matte. I’m still kind of young, so an all matte look doesn’t sit well with
me because it doesn’t look good on my face. Also, if you do recommendation
this for me, which formula is better, the matte formula or the original?

Found your video. I love my mineral makeup but it’s so hot here and my face
is so dry, I’ m actually looking for BB Cream. I’m an expat in Singapore.
What are you doing in Malaysia?

  • Nicoleemariaaa 3 years ago

You should try fairly light. That would probably be a good color for you.
The golden one is to yellow for you and if the other is to pink then fairly
light should work cause its a neutral!

Really enjoyed this video, very professional and helpful. The only thing
that I would say is when you do transitions its a little distracting that
you can hear you talking twice, maybe a straight cut would be better or
something. I really hope you’re not offended and probably a lot of people
like this. I really think I might get this foundation now, I subscribed by
the way, love your channel :D

Really liked the video and the demonstration (: .
You can simply mix your bare minerals powder with your moisturizer to
create a tinted moisturizer (: . Works perfectly for me!
Your skin really looks flawless! I use Everyday Minerals and Lily Lolo
Mineral Foundation, but unfortunately they accentuate the fine lines around
my mouth a little bit. But every product does that so it’s not really a con
    for me (:

This video was so helpful to me! I’ve been looking at mineral makeup for a
while but have never tried it and I’m excited to give it a whirl! I’m 15
and want something natural for my skin and I was wondering, can a creamy
concealer be applied over the mineral makeup? I have a few dark scars from
spots that might not be able to be covered up otherwise. I have my formal
soon and I’m thinking this would be perfect. Glad I came across your
    channel!

I’ve never worn any makeup before but I have some acne. It’s not bad but I
do have acne so do you think this would be good? I just want makeup to
    cover up.

omg I was shocked and had to replay the video when you said Malaysia, YAY
thank you for sharing and we definitely need more beauty gurus in Malaysia
    as well :)

  • isoldeschulz 3 years ago

Thanks for this! I am using JI loose powder foundation, but it lasts about
two hours on me :( . How do you make it last longer? thanks.

was just searching for this foundation after bareminerals did a tie up with
clothesencounters. Thank you for this review, the difference is definitely
amazing on your skin as well. I live in Singapore and I am so glad that
you’re in Malaysia so at least I know it’s weather proof XD just one thing
that’s stopping me from being fully convinced to buy it though, was
wondering if you would ever go back to liquid foundations (for everyday
make up) after using mineral foundation? cos I really hate cakey make up
and somehow even the lightest liquid foundations (I’m using Bobbi Brown’s
Skin Foundation SPF15) make my skin look cakey after a while.

  • byerkes99 3 years ago

Although this video is very informative, I had a few other questions :) Do
you have to apply an additional setting powder with the foundation? And is
it light/natural enough to wear to school? Thanks in advance!

  • SarahMichelleCole92 3 years ago

Omygoodness! First time for me to come across one of your videos! Great job
girl! You have a awesome personality. Very informative. I was considering
bare minerals, simply for the fact of I want a more “skin like” appearance.
So many foundations & products break down through out the day & look AWFUL.
You have totally made me want to try it. One question though, how long does
it last before you have to buy more? The liquid foundation I use now last a
    good while…

    Oh & I will definitely subscribe :)

Oh my gosh…You live in Malaysia?? =D Finally a beauty guru I can relate
to! Thank you so much for this review… I’m still a beginner to make-up
but I was very curious to mineral make up as I have sensitive skin…
Your review helped me a LOT…Thanks, or the Malaysian way; terima kasih!!!

Hers only looks good because she has perfect skin to begin with.. I have to
reapply bareminerals several times through out the day for touchups.
Undereye circles and blemishes always show after a few hours.

  • helloemarie 3 years ago

Sephora has a brush specifically for mineral makeup similar to the one you
have in this video that I LOVE using with this stuff! It’s a great value as
well :] as much as I love this makeup though, I can’t put it anywhere near
my eyes lol it creases within a minute and my eyes aren’t even that bad.
But other than that I LOVE this stuff. Color matching is a little difficult
    though.

I think I’m going to have to go and pick up this foundation! I already have
the expert face brush but I was thinking about getting a different brush
for this foundation, like a kabuki brush… do you think that is necessary?
Or is the expert face brush perfect for this?

  • brianna lol 3 years ago

Do you find yourself getting oily as the day goes on when you wear this??

  • Stephanie Barnes 3 years ago

I love bare minerals. You needed shade fairly light. It’s the neutral shade
with yellow and pink. That’s what I use. And medium beige when more
    tan…it’s neutral as we’ll.

Super happy finally I followed a makeup guru from my own country! Love u

  • leggomymeggo2591 3 years ago

This was super helpful. I have bareminerals and I can’t stand the flawless
face brush that my kit came with, it’s scratchy and yeah, no. But I’m torn
between just the expert face brush, or the buffing brush that only comes in
the core collections RT kit. The kit actually comes with that pointed
    foundation brush you also used.

Do you do blush as well? Is there a mineral blush it just a regular blush
    you recommend?

  • angie robles 3 years ago

Do you wear a primer under the mineral foundation to make it last all day?
Or does it stay on without anything under?

  • thank you for this review it was so thorough and helpful <3

I’m a new Bare Minerals user and this vid was great to confirm that I’d
chosen the right product. Thanks :-)

  • Kaelin Rains 3 years ago

Have you tried the new Bare Minerals Bare Skin foundation? I used the same
products as you but the Bare Skin works wonders

  • Btw you have a neutral skin tone that’s why you have to use both
foundations.. yes, it’s more steps but the outcome is worth it! It looks
beautiful on you! Makes me want to purchase the matte formula. I only have
the original formula but the coloring is a bit off so I’m glad to know
there is a mineral foundation for yellow undertones! :D

I routinely use bare minerals and if im feeling dry, i simply add some of
the powder to a little bit of coconut oil and use that as a moist
foundation, works beautifully :) When im not wearing makeup i use coconut
oil as a makeup remover (ironic, dontcha think? lol) and moisturizer and
have been told i have “the most beautiful skin ive ever seen” lol. I only
wear makeup once a week when i go out to karaoke night LOL. But yeah, im
    with you, excellent.

You are so beautiful, I feel fat and ugly :)

My skin has improved so much while using my clarisonic, so I have no need
for my liquid foundation. I stared using my bare minerals again today, and
wow. I have never seen my skin look so good! This video made me go try it
once again, thank you so much! <3

Mineral viel by bareminerals helps smooth out the make-up further so your
finishing spray is not needed. Plus it sets the make-up.

I don’t know about shipping to Malaysia, but I use the Everyday Minerals
brand mineral makeup instead of Bare Minerals, and that’s been my go to for
years now. The finish is just as beautiful as BM but it’s much more
affordable. Just use some good brushes to apply (I use a Too Faced Kabuki,
plus the RT expert face brush) and it gives great coverage. Incase you are
find yourself in the market for a cheaper option :)

I just received my FIRST mineral foundation, and I was not sure how to use
it. I ordered a starter kit in case I didn’t like it. Thanks for the simple
    demonstration :)
