  • sweetwaaasabi 4 years ago

Maybe use a bit of oil when separating the twists. I had the same problem and it worked for me :)

Very nice. I wish I had hair like this. My texture is 4b/4c with not curl definitions. Do you have a friend with my hair type that you can do a tutorial on so that i can see how it works.

    cute style

  • Chanelle Pope 4 years ago

I tried it, but I think my hair is to short for this procedure (5 inches stretched)! Back to over the sink washing and twisting for me!

I will take advantage if this style A LOT! Thanks for the tips.

  • lanicert 4 years ago

This is gorgeous, but I don’t think my hair will stay clumped like this, although my curl pattern does stay defined in big twists. I think the separating would ruin it for me, though. Frizz galore.

ugh! I WISH my hair behaved that way! I tried finger detangling in sections while in the shower once-DISASTER! I have to detangle my hair dry/with oil (hair’s already stretch from previous style & doesn’t tangle as easily), THEN I shampoo/condition with my hair in twists, and reinstall the twists with product after the shower. Loose hair & H2O=dangles & lots of hair in my hands. Oh well.

Beautiful! How do you preserve at night?

  • Jcunninghamdr 4 years ago

So…. it just another twist out.

  • thecurlymuscateer 4 years ago

I’m so glad you posted this… I was just thinking “wow what am I gonna do for summer??” and you are so right … it doesn’t take long at all and it’s PERFECT if your hair is super dry, and you have a tight curl pattern. L O V E this!

  • Shay Kay 4 years ago

I totally understand what you mean. I have a very, very tight COIL pattern (so tight it’s no longer curls but coils). Separating causes more frizz and less definition, but I think it’s safe so say the tighter your pattern the less of a chance at definition you have. However, we get lots of volume with our hair, which I think is a good bonus.

Hey Whitney! I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and have tried this style. The frizz was unbearable for me though =(, but I tried it again and added African Oil on my hands then took it down. It worked out great =D just a suggestion for stopping frizz =)

  • Naturalbeauty334 4 years ago

I always love your videos. I wish I could get that fullness that your hair has. I am thinking of doing the big chop. My hair is too thin for me.
