New and updated! Perfect foundation makeup that looks real and is easy to fine tune. Another great pro technique.

I so love the way you teach. It’s easy for me (a novice on PS) to understand. No music in the back ground like some of the younger generation seem to add. Very off putting and annoying. Thank you and I will continue to look you up for more help.

Hey, have you come across “Photo SFXart Tricks” (search on Google for it)? There you will find a nice free video explaining how to make fantastic photos. This made it easier for Matt to take photographs that leave you with that jaw-dropping-effect when you look at them. Perhaps it will help you out also.

SOS! This might be a stupid question but I cant figure it out. How are you getting your changes (When you clicked ok for High Pass) to show up on the main picture??? I click ok…and nothing?? And when I switch layers, they all look the same. Is this a settings issue? Please help. Thank you

Here’s a professional tutorial, ?v=TQIuUq5oZCY not improvised, to smoothing a non-model skin. You can make 120yo people to look like 40, not losing the pores. Yes, you can keep the pores, and thin wrinkles if you want, but still keeping the pores. It’s not like “minimizing” the blemishes. It’s radically keeping the pores in a separate layer, thinning them instead of fading them, dramatically smooth out the skin, and then applying the pores back on top.

Really great! This method worked so well on a photo I was trying to remove blemishes on using the old clone tool. Great tutorial, thanks

I use CS4, but most of the techniques used can be applied all the way back to Photoshop 5!

  • ToiletMaker 4 years ago

Great tutorial as always! May I ask if you’re using CS5?

  • ranash1995 4 years ago

Heh. I was thinking more about the algorithms that are driving the High Pass/ Overlay / Blur relationships. But dividing by 3…. still not simple for some people :)

  • Cate Skye 4 years ago

3:20 dividing by three… yes, very complicated maths @__@

  • ranash1995 4 years ago

It’s now in widescreen format with much sharper video than the old one. Makes it easier to see the subtle effect of the smoothing.

What is the difference between this and the other foundation makeup video you have done, apart from the image that is being edited? Good vid but unsure about the point of it,
