I do own DW, it’s good but I prefer to mix it with NARS Sheer Glow. BB Natural Finish made me oily and I’m much more tan these days so I use Tawny in DW!

    Definitely the Hourglass!

Do you prefer the LM mineral primer or the hourglass mineral primer w/the LM mineral foundation?

Im dying to try this but I don’t know what shade to try. Have you ever tried the estee lauder double wear foundation or the bobbi brown natural finish foundations? If you have, what shade are you? Hopefully it can give me some baseline.

I only use one at a time :) If you use more than one at a time, just use a brush and let the colors set for ten seconds before applying the next one!

Absolutely! Check Nordstrom or Sephora’s site for the Mineral Kits. It’ll save you lots of money :)

    I have sensitive skin :)

If you have oily skin, I actually think Lancome’s Freshwear foundation or Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua would be best!

  • hannarostock 4 years ago

Wow, this is a great one! But why don’t you use all those products on your forehead?

    boring

Yes, the LM make-up artist who taught me the technique showed me the difference. The powder doesn’t settle into your lines and the finish is much smoother!

Hey Rae! can you tell me why you use the “dab and roll” method instead of just buffing it in? does it give a better finish?

ALL MAC liquid foundations break me out. My LM mineral foundation, however, has never caused problems. It may be due to the powder formulation!

you’re like a younger version of hollyannaeree

Rae, I’ve just read about the Bismuth Oxychloride that can be found in mineral makeup. Found out that laura mercier’s mineral foundation contains it aswell. My skin is slightly sensitive … mac mineral foundation (liquid) gave me breakouts. Just curious about how your skin reacted to the LM mineral foundation. Apparently the skin starts to itch and break out….

I’m thankful that you can appreciate my style! <3

Thank you for responding and Keep up the excellent work! your videos are my favorite since you are so pedagogical.

I wouldn’t use a Kabuki for the bronzer, as it is too dense but the Sigma 131 should work :)

  • cedarsoflebanon2 4 years ago

Sorry, I meant the mac small kabuki 181! Might have written the wong number in my previous message.

  • cedarsoflebanon2 4 years ago

Thanks for a helpful and excellent video! I just wonder if the sigma ss131 brush can be used for the bronzer instead of the one you use in the video? or maybe even the MAC 131 which is the baby kabuki (I think) …
    Thanks!

  • RAEview 4 years ago

No, it is meant to be a setting powder :)

  • LovesTheWay2Go 4 years ago

okay thanks! (: so would you recommend the bobbi brown one as a light weight foundation? with a sheer finish like mac mineralized skin finish nataural

  • RAEview 4 years ago

No, it becomes increasingly dewy throughout the day. Stick to Bobbi Brown’s Sheer Finish Loose!

  • LovesTheWay2Go 4 years ago

Is laura mercier’s mineral loose powder completely matte? because I have oily skin and I was planning on getting it, but I’m not looking for a dewy finish.
